Homegrown Stories 2 is a co-production between City Theatre Company and Point Park University's Pittsburgh Playhouse. The Pittsburgh Playhouse and City Theatre Company commissioned five playwrights to write ten-minute plays for a digital medium in response to our current world. This one-night only digital reading of the resulting works will be followed by a talkback with the creative teams.
Patrick Cannon (he/him) is a Pittsburgh-based multidisciplinary artist. His film projects, submit it to festivals and Mulligan, have been Official Selections in four Academy Award Qualifying Film Festivals.
Gab Cody creates film and immersive, devised and site-specific work as well as theater meant-to-be-performed in a theater.
Kim El is an award-winning Pittsburgh-born playwright, actor, director and educator who uses words to stimulate human consciousness.
Monteze Freeland is a multi-disciplinary artist from Baltimore, MD but has made Pittsburgh his artistic home as an award-winning actor, director, writer, teaching artist and producer.
Molly Rice is a playwright and musician who gravitates toward big, aspirational community collaborations; small, strange musicals; and site-specific, immersive enchantments.
