Maltby and Shire’s Closer Than Ever is a riveting song cycle exploring the everyday struggles of love and life in the modern world. The songs of Richard Maltby, Jr., and David Shire (Big; Starting Here, Starting Now; Baby) are brimming with brilliance for which these theatre giants are known.
