Point Park University's Pittsburgh Playhouse is proud to present Breakthrough Sessions: Tomorrow's Music Today, a new concert series showcasing emerging and breakthrough artists while inviting audiences to discover original music of the creative voices shaping what’s next.

Presented as part of the Pittsburgh Playhouse's expanding live music initiative, Breakthrough Sessions will transform the Highmark Theatre into an intimate venue where artists can share new work, tell the stories behind their music, and connect directly with

audiences.

The Buckle Downs have earned a reputation as one of Pittsburgh’s premier soul-rock bands, delivering electrifying performances fueled by powerful vocals, infectious melodies, and driving rhythms. Fronted by the dynamic Kiki Brown, whose commanding stage presence and soulful voice captivate audiences, the band has become a standout force on the regional music scene. Named WYEP Local Artists of the Year, The Buckle Downs shared the stage with acclaimed artists including Marcus King and Brittney Spencer. Their latest EP, Unstoppable, showcases a bold evolution in their sound, blending grit, soul, and rock into a collection of songs that reflect the band’s passion, artistry, and unmistakable energy.
