Jim Roddey Circuit With Brandon McGinley (Pittsburgh Post Gazette) & Joe Mistick (Pittsburgh Tribune Review) Host: Andy Conte, Director of Center for Media Innovation
Jim Roddey served as Allegheny County’s first chief executive as a Republican in a predominantly Democratic area, and he succeeded by reaching across the aisle, maintaining civility and smiling even when it wasn’t easy. Roddey died in March 2024 at age 91. His good friend and television co-host Joe Mistick, a Democrat, joins Brandon McGinley, a conservative editorial writer at the Post-Gazette and a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize in 2024. Together, they will address the contentious 2024 election and its lasting impact on southwestern Pennsylvania.
