Volunteer at the Playhouse

Volunteer ushers provide many Front of House services during events for the PNC Theater, Highmark Theater and the Rauh Theater.

As part of the Front of House team, ushers are committed to providing a memorable and enjoyable experience for Playhouse patrons. Services provided by the volunteer usher staff include greeting patrons, answering questions regarding the current performance, scanning tickets, distributing programs, and assisting patrons in finding their seats. Ushers must be comfortable working in low-level lighting and be able to maneuver stairs.

There are opportunities for both daytime and evening shifts, with shifts typically lasting three hours. For more information regarding volunteering at the Pittsburgh Playhouse and the benefits, please contact House Management. Please note these opportunities are for individuals ages 18 and over.
