Pittsburgh (June 2, 2024) – The award-winning Pittsburgh Playhouse at Point Park University, a multi-disciplinary arts and entertainment center located in Downtown Pittsburgh, is pleased to announce its lineup for the 2025-2026 Season. The new season aims to continue the legacy of arts and entertainment excellence by embracing community focused and family-friendly programming that includes the return of our immersive theatrical experience fusing STEM and art, the second annual Fall Fest featuring our family-friendly Halloween show, music from celebrated Pittsburgh artists and a full roster of theatre and dance offerings from the Conservatory of Performing Arts (COPA) at Point Park University.

Pittsburgh Playhouse Executive Producer Kiesha Lalama says of the season, “For 90 remarkable years, the Pittsburgh Playhouse has stood at the heart of Pittsburgh's vibrant arts and entertainment community and has served as a home for artists, a stage for storytellers and a gathering place for audiences of all ages. This season, we proudly celebrate that legacy while setting our sights on the future, uniting the past, present and next generation of Pittsburgh’s creative family.”

Of note, audiences can expect their tried-and-true favorites: 12 shows from the renowned Conservatory of Performing Arts across many styles of dance, musicals and plays including Lysistrata, Urinetown, Forbidden Broadway, Love and Information, Our Town and Little Shop of Horrors along with dance concerts throughout the season that unite Point Park University students with internationally renowned choreographers.  Works by dance artists such as Jae Man Joo, Martha Graham, Norbert De La Cruz and Kenichi Kasamatsu will be performed.

Several celebrated events will return this season to the Pittsburgh Playhouse. Firstly, Fall Fest and the family-friendly Halloween themed show Boo’s Halloween House Party will turn Downtown Pittsburgh into this year’s autumn destination in October. The Playhouse will continue to present ARTfully UPlifting in March 2026 as a sensory-friendly performance designed to create an inclusive and welcoming space for all. In May 2026, ASCEND, the acclaimed immersive experience, will return to bring audiences together in live performance, 360-degree projections, music, aerialist dancing and more.

In the winter, the Pittsburgh Playhouse will also continue Pittsburgh’s favorite holiday tradition through its Winter Music Series, featuring the Holiday Show by the Pittsburgh Jazz Orchestra, Christmas Live with Joe Serafini and a performance by Mario Williams.

In anticipation of the 2026 NFL Draft in Pittsburgh, the Pittsburgh Playhouse will produce a special run of The Chief, the iconic one-man show celebrating the legacy of Steelers founder Art Rooney, performed by Point Park University’s Philip Winters.
